Community is just a few clicks away

My friend, trauma isolates. It isolates us from ourselves, from each other, and even from God. The antidote to this is connection.

I'm building a special space where we can find ways to re-connect with other women who have experienced trauma and who, like you, are ready to discover their best selves in the wake of their experiences.

So, what's in it for me if I join?

Good question! What's in it for you will depend quite a lot on you. This membership will offer an encouraging space to learn and grow with other women who have experienced sexual violence and/or childhood trauma. In the process, you'll be able to dream, envision, and reach for the "new you" with the hope and help of others. On a practical note, you'll be able to interact as much or as little as you wish. It's entirely up to you. A few of the benefits are highlighted below:

Cyber-friends who get  you

This isn't just any community. In this community, others will understand where you're coming from in ways that non-survivors can't.

Gentle encouragement

And the occasional kick in the booty. Trauma work is hard. Dark. Without minimizing, let's bring sunshine and hope into the dark places.

Input from God's Word

God has a lot to say about broken hearts and rebuilding lives. It's natural to mistrust him if we've been hurt, but let's take another look.

Practical tips and instruction

I love to curate and share things I've learned that can help you move forward to become your best self after trauma. Things that work.

What others like you have said

The Bible tells us, "let others praise you, and not your own mouth..." I agree, but you should know who you're working with. Here are a few comments from others who know me well.

She gives wise counsel

I have had the joy and privilege of knowing and ministering with Francey for over a decade. In both group and one-on-one situations, she gives wise counsel. I was impressed with her gentle sensitivity, listening ear, and compassionate heart.

Changed my life

Attending the women's abuse recovery group led by Francey changed my life. Being in a room of women who had similar experiences helped me understand I was not broken; I was navigating the best I could with the tools I had.

Mentoring me since 2010

I've been mentored and guided by Francey since 2010. She helped me figure out what to let go of and how to get through traumatic events that could have taken me back to a place I've worked so hard to get out of. If you need support in any way, I highly recommend her.

About Me

Francey True

I'll bet we have a few things in common, you and I. For example, I know what it's like to suffer under layers of shame, self-blame, and what-ifs. I also know what it's like to dig out from under those layers and live with my past (mostly) in the past. I've worked hard to learn how to help women like me, earning graduate degrees in ministry and human services and becoming a certified life coach. I've spoken in workshops on the subjects of sexual violence, Military Sexual Trauma, and Psychological First Aid. I spent 18 years in leadership with my local Celebrate Recovery ministry and facilitate women's sexual abuse recovery groups.

Mostly, though, I'm just like you. I have a painful history, but I've learned that it doesn't define me. I have bad days, but I have tools for moving through them successfully. I get it wrong, but I do my best to make it right again. I don't understand God's ways, but I try to trust him anyway. And I love to reach out to women like me and help them apply what they're learning in their journey of healing. Join me, won't you?
